At only 23 years of age Zoe has now been a professional sportswoman for several years having attended the Turin Olympics in 2006.  Though snowboarding is a somewhat young and developing sport, Zoe has made it her personal goal to interact with the youth of today and  pass on her experiences as a professional Olympic snowboard athlete  and try and open the door for the young children not just to experience the fun and enjoyment of a sport such as snowboarding but also the enjoyment of sport in general.

Between the months of May to July  2008, Zoe has spoken to over 700 children at various school visits and county events.  She spoke about how she first got involved in sport, how she reached the top level, the training involved, problems with injury, the benefits of sponsors (needless to say when they saw Zoes car they all wanted to be  a professional snowboarder!) her experiences at the Turin Olympics in 2006 and what it is like to be ranked No 1 in the world.  She also told them what is is like to be in the media spotlight and even about how McDonalds did a national TV advert about her!

Zoe is aiming to further her commitment this year and realising the high costs involved in such sports as snowboarding, Zoe is currently working with business partners to try and provide the opportunity to the children to partake in these sports for free.

Zoes talks usually last about one and a half hours, involve videos, looking at all the equipment she uses and having a look at her car whilst at the same time getting the children to film with her special training head camera. If you are a teacher or organiser of youth events groups and wouldlike Zoe to give a talk to them, please contact Zoe.
